Mount Wilson is located near Sierra Madre and is a grueling fifteen mile hike to the observatory, which affords stunning views of the San Gabriels and downtown Los Angeles. Todd and I climbed it while making dick jokes. Here’s the hike:
To get to the trailhead, take the 210 freeway to Baldwin Ave. in Sierra Madre. Go north on Baldwin up into the mountains, then make a right on Miramonte. Mount Wilson trail park is on your left, as is the trailhead.
