Max Lance is a writer, producer and comedian who’s achieved every level of struggling.

Max and his brother Dan write, record, animate and produce the web series High School Summary, which was nominated for a Student Emmy Award and has been viewed over a half-million times.

Max’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Hollywood Reporter and ABC’s 20/20. He has written for College Humor and Cracked Online. His day jobs include Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Fox and the documentary Being: Liverpool. He volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Young Storytellers Foundation.

He’s produced content on hiking, camping, travel and Settlers of Catan. He maintains the Failing Writer Tumblr, a collection of rejection letters. He’s a graduate of the University of Southern California film school and a drop-out of New York University.
